Coconut
Serves 1
Ingredient:
Coconut
Needed:
Someone Strong
Hammer or Hatchet
Paring Knife or Ice Pick
Floss
Steps to Prep:
This brown, fuzzy ball is a hard one to crack. Someone strong will need to take your hammer or hatchet and pound over and over on the hard “skin” of this fruit. After several frustrating, failed attempts, throw the coconut on a cement surface with all your might until it cracks open. You may lose some of the milk, or destroy it completely, but it will give you great satisfaction. Sip out any remaining milk. Use the paring knife or ice pick to separate the fruit from its shell and eat. When you are done, use the floss to clean the flakes out of your teeth.
Pro-Tip:
Next time, use a chain saw, or better yet, forget this one, it’s too much work.
Warning:
Rumor has it that falling coconuts kill more people each year than sharks. This appears to be an urban legend, but you can’t be too careful.
