Tangerine
Serves 1
Ingredient:
Tangerine
Needed:
Paring Knife
Garbage Disposal
Steps to Prep:
Begin by washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water per the CDC recommended guidelines. Remove tangerine from refrigerator. Use paring knife to cut into the tangerine to make it easy to remove the rind. Peel over sink, discarding the peel into the garbage disposal. Separate off one segment at a time with your fingers, and insert into your mouth. Chew and enjoy. Spit any seeds into garbage disposal. Upon completion of your snack, turn on the sink water and the garbage disposal, ensuring your hands are clear of the blades. Wait until the disposal has a friendly hum before shutting it and the water off. Now your kitchen smells like citrus instead of whatever rotting food was in there before, and you ate a fruit today, good job team!
Pro-Tip:
If you save part of the peel, you can use it as a garnish for your Quarantinis.
Warning:
Prior to peeling, tangerines can be used as projectiles thrown during quarantine. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for flying fruits.
